As the third event of the Sailing Grand Slam 2026 season, Almere plays an important role in the developing international circuit connecting leading Olympic sailing events.

Linda Bomhof, Event Director of Dutch Water Week:
“The international calendar has been extremely intense this season, with multiple World and European Championships taking place across Olympic disciplines in a short period of time. But despite that challenge, we are pleased to welcome a compact international fleet to Almere. By focusing on three Olympic classes, we can provide the athletes with excellent racing conditions and deliver high-quality competition.”
