Dutch Water Week takes place in the waters off Almere. At various locations on the water, competitions are held in a number of modern as well as long-established sailing classes. Demonstrations of new urban watersports are organized, and there will be plenty of opportunities to take part in sports for free – both for newcomers and experienced enthusiasts.
ABOUT THE DUTCH WATER WEEK
There are free clinics and trial sessions in a wide range of watersport activities, allowing visitors to explore the world of watersports. These include eFoiling and wingfoiling clinics, Clean Up on Tour, Optimist on Tour, and much more. It is also an ambition to link fairs and other events on and around the water (e.g. canoe/SUP tours, motorboat events, canoe polo competitions) to Dutch Water Week, as well as crowd-pulling extreme watersports events. In fact, all events with a connection to water are welcome to join Dutch Water Week.
Part of Dutch Water Week is the Sailing Grand Slam, including prize money. This international competition brings together five of the most iconic sailing regattas in the world.
Dutch Water Week is for everyone – so come and experience, watch, and take part in watersports.
