Activities
Dutch Water Week takes place in the waters off Almere. At various locations on the water, competitions are held in a range of modern as well as long-established sailing classes.
From SUP boarding to wingfoiling, and from canoeing to eFoiling, Dutch Water Week truly offers something for every watersports enthusiast. With demonstrations of new urban watersports and clinics for young and old alike, there are also plenty of opportunities to get active yourself—whether you’re a newcomer or an experienced enthusiast.
Sailing Grand Slam
The Sailing Grand Slam (SGS) circuit brings together five world-class events throughout the sailing season. Developed in close collaboration with World Sailing, SGS creates a global platform to showcase the world’s best sailors on the road to the LA 2028 Olympic Games.

Clean up on Tour
During Clean Up on Tour, you actively help remove litter from the water – while staying sporty at the same time! Together with an experienced instructor, you step onto a SUP board and collect waste from lakes, rivers, and canals. From cans and bottles to plastic bags and other debris, everything you collect contributes to a cleaner and safer environment for people, animals, and plants.
The collected waste is weighed and then responsibly processed. At each location, we track how much litter has been removed, so you can see which spot makes the biggest impact. That way, it’s not only fun and active, but also a real challenge!
